Fargfabriken - reality seminar 3

FÃ?RGFABRIKEN

REALITY BITES
SEMINAR NO 3

PRODUCTION, INSTITUTIONS AND MARKET
- ART IN THE AGE OF TRANSFORMATION

How does the production of art function today - seen in a broader
perspective? How do the institutions in the art world relate to the
transformations that are given by technological, economical and other
changes? Is there a market for art - and if, does it exist in
representation or in other forms? At Färgfabriken classical institutions,
such as the Moderna museet in Stockholm and the Contemporary Art Museum in
Helsinki, contemporary art centers such as Magasin 3 Stockholms Konsthall
and Rooseum, Malmö and production based institutions such as Muu, Helsinki,
the Purple Institute, Paris and Fabrica, Italy meet and their
representatives get a chance to discuss the contemporary situation from
different perspectives and positions.
