    YESTERDAY, on august 20, belgrade students organized action in order
to give a "stafeta" * to president slobodan milosevic on his 56
birthday. of course, the action has been inspired by the same ritual in
past decades, when on may 25 whole country celebrated TITO`s birthday.
there was also one more "joke" -  "stafeta" started at 15,05 (the
official time of tito`s death)

POLICE forces stooped the students, violently, as usual, and three
students have been beaten.

*stafeta - usualy a small statue, like stick, which has been carried
every year by youth through all country, in order to be given to tito,
like a simbol of love, on his birthay ceremony.
