BERKELEY, CA - Feb. 12, 1999 - Announcing the release of Berkeley
Interactive Design's 3D adult-oriented community, XRave, located at
http://www.xrave.com.  The Web's first 3D sex club, XRave(tm) is an
immersive virtual reality environment full of erotically-charged
sex.bots, techno-music, chat rooms and an endless supply of
adult-oriented images, stories and spatialized sound-effects.

Developed by the Virtual Reality Laboratory of new media production firm
Berkeley Interactive Design (http://www.berkeleyidesign.com) and its
roster of avant-garde writers, musicians and VR architects, XRave's(tm)
fully-rendered 3D storyworld creates a unique social environment
guaranteed to stir up controversy in the Net culture.

"XRave(tm) radically reconfigures our understanding of what human
sexuality on the Net can be," says company CEO Caroline E. White.  "Our
immediate aim is to create a 3D Webspace for erotic play that is more
compelling than the traditional sex industry with its 'GIRLS! GIRLS!

Created to be an adaptable virtual environment, XRave(tm) is enriched
with an archive of over 3.5GB of X-rated photographs and art, volumes of
erotic fiction, and hours of original techno, trip-hop and ambient music
created by XRave's(tm) own DJ-X, Misery and The Lotus Eaters.

The main Rave areas include the Straight Rave, the Gay Rave, the Dyke
Rave and the Fetish Rave, all of which are presented in a
never-before-seen 3D interface that exploits the potential of the Web to
create more engaging social experiences for interactive sex enthusiasts
worldwide.

Berkeley Interactive Design specializes in the production of
state-of-the-art 3D storyworlds for Internet distribution.  The
company's first web project, Holo-X(tm) (http://www.holo-x.com), made in
conjunction with the Alt-X(r) Online Network (http://www.altx.com), was
released in December and became an immediate success.  The day
