After yesterdays events and the demonstrations in front of the US and German embassy
and the hotel Aleksandar Palace the situation in Macedonia is pretty calm at this moment.
However the government, vital objects as well as the embassies are under strong police protection.
The protest that was announced for today noon in front of the American embassy has not started
because the protection forces are forbidding demonstrators to approach the embassy.
However, larger groups of demonstrators have gathered in the streets around the US embassy.
Demonstrators have also been seen on the Square Macedonia.
Arrival of larger number of people is expected from the interior of the country which can lead
to the intensivation of protests.
A greater movement is noticeable on the streets but there are no significant signs of panic or fear.
A great part of the population considers that after yesterday's Anti NATO demonstrations the risks
for attack of the Yugoslav artillery on Macedonia are reduced to minimum.
