(this is the standard message that we get when somebody unsubscribes from
the syndicate list. the message looks the same when inke or i unsubscribe
somebody (which we really only do on request), and i can only assure you
that neither inke nor i did this. 'paul' threw the towel, as we say in
boxing.

'paul treanor' first subscribed to the list on 29 march - you may have seen
some of his postings. after the pretty strange FAQs about Help B92 he
pointed to yesterday, i asked:)

why can you not say who you are ? what is the problem with sending some
evidence that you are not some fake?

(difficult not to get paranoid, i thought. remember that, even if you may
be paranoid, that does not mean that you are not being followed. so i

(conclusion?)

i don't get it. arthur suggested that the answer might lie in paul's last
posting where he says:

'Free speech is part of the historical effect of Europe. It is one of the
great historical evils, which Europe has inflicted on the world, along with
the free market and the nation state.'

maybe because nobody else was going to deprive him of his evil free speech
option, he did it himself.  - we'll need noam chomsky to solve this one, i
guess.
