Yesterday a Berlin radio station reported that there have been protests in
several smaller cities in the south of Serbia. The report said that it was
mainly mothers who demand that their sons, who are currently serving in the
Yugoslav army, be sent back home, out of Kosovo. This demand seems to be
part of a larger growing general dissent with Milosevic's politics. I also
heard that people who have taken part in these demonstrations were arrested
and will face a trial, and the outcome of this will probably be severe
punishments, as the state of war is declared.
