Re: Syndicate: cinema in tirana

GREAT!
I even
suggested to the minister of culture, Edi Rama, to organise an open air cinema
on the great place in Tirana, showing good films once a week in Summer
evenings.

finally albania is not any more the only
country in the world without a cinema hall. with a strong initiative and
even stronger perserverance from the ministry of culture, cinema
"millennium" opened saturday 31 of july. it is a modern cinema
hall which opened showing first the documentary albanian film from Anri Sala
"Intervista-finding the words" and continuing with the fiction
    "the mumy".
this was an event that became possible only
due to the support from the minister of culture Edi Rama, who insisted a lot
in the albanian government and parliament to sustain the private initiative
    to open the cinema.
finally tirana now has its fist cinema and
soon there are hopes to have more even in other cities.
