CULTURETV NEWS

Our playlist of this week presents the new site-specific installation by
New York-based artist Jon Kessler, especiallly created for P.S.1 in NY.
Referencing issues relevant to contemporary society; including politics,
war, advertising, propaganda and surveillance. Kessler=B4s work thrusts
the viewer directly into a complex visual experience. Though sources of
inspiration and information are varied and include reality television
such as "The Swan" ,kabuki and "Apocalypse Now".

The Unseen Video, from Daniel Scheibel & Ferdinand Weinrother (D).A
weather controlled, dynamic music video for Mike Milosh's - You Make Me
Feel. The Unseen Video is much more than a normal, static music video. It
is a video that is affected by the weather and local time from the
position of the viewer.

Also this week we show you works made by one of the new Chinese artists
Zhao Bo is from Chongqing, Sichuan province in south-central China. Zhao
Bo has captured this life on the streets - the clash of communist and
capitalist, east and west, the ridiculous, the sly, the ludicrous and the
overwhelming feeling that everyone is on the make.

The video and photo installation Relax by Ralph Kämena. The starting
point of Relax is the utopian lay-out of a Vinex district (i.e. a new
housing estate on the outskirts of a town): the idea that an environment
could be invented on a drawing board. Relax is a work in progress, in
which the artificiality of the Vinex architecture will be connected with
the intimacy of homely interiors in a lyrical way.

Last week we already announced the first video of a serie from Valentina
Nisi. The Media Portrait of the Liberties concerns the development,
production, and interactive delivery of multiple short stories about the
Dublin Liberties community.

The famous filmscene and song of Gene Kelly has been translated by Peter
William Holden into an installation/ballet. Autogene is made of 8
umbrellas in circle which dance to the sound Singin' In the Rain.

Hope you will enjoy the videos.
