Not to mention the cost of life-time/life-energy spent in *consuming* other's FB 
data stream! What tiny social return 'earned' is completely lost in the

Fascinating and revealing set of calculations... 

My suspicion is that there would be similar results in per user/usage costs
for a variety of natural monopoly public services (water, electricity,
sewage, public health etc.) once the cost of infrastructure was removed.

This suggests to me of course, that Facebook (interpersonal information
sharing) and other such global Internet based service monopolies (Google
(search), Amazon (retail purchasing?)) should probably be approached from a
public utility perspective (including the need for public ownership...
