"Anyone associated with addiction, alcoholism, eccentricity is assumed to
be far removed from godliness. For that person to have a church dedicated
to him sounds a bit difficult to believe. But it's true. In the
Argentinian city of Rosario there exist the first Maradonian church, the
Hand of God church. For the 400 Diegorian brothers who attend the church
regularly, the autobiography of Maradona, 'I am Diego', is the Bible. The
people who helped him in his life are his apostles. Those who have
hindered it are branded heretics. And Diego Armando Maradona [born 30
September 1960] is god. The church says we are living in 44 A.D. (after
Diego) i.e. forty-four years after he was born." (...)

Dus die optie is er wel degelijk. Als geloof bergen verzet dan zeker ook
de bal!
