-- and so history repeats, this held for the code called the alphabet
throughout most of the 20th century, too: (virtually) nobody learned the
history of the oppressed and the revolting, nor did they acquire a
sensitivity for poetry, they were taught the ABC of capital. Without
that preceding, the above would not have happened like that. No news
there, just patterns repeating.
