[rohrpost] e-Research - a First for Oxford

"With support of £15m from public and philanthropic funds
the University of Oxford is establishing the world's first
multi-disciplinary centre within a major university
exclusively devoted to the study of the societal impacts of
the Internet. The Oxford Internet Institute (OII), which will
be a University department within the Social Sciences
Division and be based in Balliol College, has received
support of £10m from The Shirley Foundation and a total of
£5m from the Higher Education Funding Council for
England (HEFCE) which is supported by the Department
for Education and Employment."
